SherryBaker Any other OMNI writers here?? 3 May 14 2009, 1:42 AM EDT by edatlow

Howdy, I wrote for OMNI from l980 until its last gasp ( the web-only edition where I also hosted a web interview chat with scientists and authors). It was a great magazine and I'm convinced would have been more popular than ever if it hadn' t been closed down after the publisher's death. I know some former OMNI writers are doing some work for Discover now ( moi included). Nice to see this OMNI shrine!

digidan Insert in Omni about Controlling your Dreams 2 Jan 31 2009, 6:04 PM EST by migs9999

I'm looking for an insert, I remember it feeling like thick construction paper, inside an omni magazine. From looking on the internet I beleive it was from 1987, but am unsure. I'd love to be able to find this text again or get a scan copy of it from someone's collection.

Brent41 Dracula's stolen ring 0 Jan 25 2009, 4:38 PM EST by Brent41

I read an article in the Omni magazine between 1990-1992 (i think), about a murder of an art dealer in New York. Apparently the only thing that was stolen was a ring from the art dealer's store. It was reportedly Vlad Tepish's family ring, and that it now probably graces the finger of a Columbian drug lord. Vlad was a Wallachian Prince, whom Dracula is based on. I would like to track down that article and reread it. I believe it was non fiction. Anyone with any recollection of this, please drop me a line.
